About this site
TempJustRight converts oven recipes to air fryer settings, and air fryer recipes back. I built it after our household got an air fryer and every conversion chart online gave a different answer with no working shown. This site shows its work: the how it works page walks through the whole model, and the food guides apply it food by food.
How the numbers are made
Every answer comes from one deterministic equation plus a handful of published physical estimates. There is no language model anywhere in the calculation, no server, and no fake latency: the same inputs give the same answer every time, and the model layer is tested against worked examples on every change. What the equation cannot know is your exact machine, so the converter learns a per machine offset from the ratings you give it, stored only in your browser.
The appliance list covers more than 100 machines, checked against manufacturer product pages and manuals. Specs in the list are honest starting estimates, not laboratory measurements, and the calibration layer corrects them per machine as ratings come in.
Corrections are welcome
Field reports have already improved the model twice: a steak pie that came out cold in the middle taught it a sliding conduction floor, and a flatbread that finished in half the predicted time earned flat food its own setting. Both stories are on the how it works page. If a conversion misses badly for you, I want to know the food, the oven numbers, your machine, and what happened.
